*Tuberculosis (TB) is second only to HIV/AIDS as the greatest killer worldwide due to a single infectious agent.
*In 2013, 9 million people fell ill with TB and 1.5 million died from the disease.

TB is one of the greatest threats to health worldwide, with nearly nine million new cases annually. The WHO reports that, if left untreated, each person with active TB infects an average of 10 to 15 people each year. To combat the disease, there is an urgent need for a diagnostic technological platform that moves beyond century-old microscopy.

Fortunately, the LED microscopy get the advantages in TB diagnostics, and approved by WHO. What's more the LED technology also has great potential in the diagnosis of other infectious diseases, such as malaria, leishmaniasis and Chagas disease. It is going to be a popular microscopy in Clinic diagnosis.
