Challenges of Microscopic Imaging in Veterinary Medicine
Due to scale limitations, veterinary hospitals often lack pathology laboratories, and pathological samples frequently require rapid preparation and observation, which restricts diagnostic capabilities.
To overcome this limitation, foreign veterinary hospitals have adopted Fluorescence-Illuminated Brightfield Imaging (FIBI), enabling rapid pathological diagnosis without frozen sections.
Its reliability is close to that of HE-stained sections, and sample preparation is non-destructive.
This technology only requires a 405 nm fluorescence excitation microscope, camera, and imaging software, and is expected to improve the efficiency and accuracy of diagnosis in veterinary medicine.
